The Fort Worth Water Gardens located at 1502 Commerce St, Fort Worth, TX 76102 is a beautiful and unique attraction. The Water Gardens was built in 1974 and designed by accomplished architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee. It is located on the south end of downtown Fort Worth. Next door, you will find the Fort Worth Convention Center. This urban park is often described as an oasis in the middle of a concrete jungle. Guests can experience a variety of beautiful water features free of charge as they explore this relaxing urban park. The Water Garden features the quiet pool, the aerating pool and the active pool. This expansive park covers over four acres of land.

The blue meditation pool is in a quiet area surrounded by cypress trees. The large rectangular pool features towering walls with a thin layer of water that cascades almost ninety degrees into the beautiful blue water feature. The sound made by this feature resembles a peaceful rain shower.

The aerating pool showcases multiple spray fountains under the cover of massive oak trees. It is a gorgeous work of art.

The main focus of the Water Gardens is the active pool. This pool has water cascading thirty-eight feet down terraces and steps. The water collects into a small pool at the bottom. This active pool was designed for people to be able to immerse themselves in the sounds and motion of the water that is crashing down around them. The mist from this pond is extremely refreshing on a hot day.

The Fort Worth Water Gardens has been featured in several films, television shows, and music videos. These include the film Logan’s Run, the television adaptation of The Lathe of Heaven, and one of Kendrick Lamar’s music videos.

The Water Gardens has an amazing architectural design that can be enjoyed throughout the year. This is the perfect place to visit to enjoy nature in Fort Worth.

Kimbell Art Museum is another great attraction in Fort Worth.
