Adventure World Playground 7451 Starnes Rd, North Richland Hills, TX 76182 is an accessible playground that was built by community volunteers in 1994. It was completely renovated in 2014 by the City of North Richland Hills. Shaded play structures in the park are inspired by woodland and are available for all abilities. You will also find benches, picnic tables, and toilets.
North Richland Hills claims Adventure World as its largest park, which is designed for inclusive play. USA SHADE was contacted by park planners from the City of North Richland Hills in 2016 to address a hot problem that no other shade companies could solve. The Adventure World slides could get too hot for children to use on hot sunny days, just like many other un-shaded playgrounds. Adventure World and a respected fabric structure design company came up with a unique solution. The designers drew inspiration from the existing playground treehouse theme to create a series of custom shade structures. They combined playful purples and different green colors that resemble natural tree shades. It was a fabric shade system that perfectly reflected the park’s treehouse theme while protecting playground visitors from the scorching Texas sun.
Adventure World Playground has been a participant in Art in Public Spaces Program since 2002. The program integrates art into everyday life to beautify public spaces, improve quality of life and create a unique identity for our community.
For residents and visitors, the City holds 22 artworks in its permanent collection. You will find murals, paintings, and installations by internationally-acclaimed artists in parks, railway stations, and other public buildings all over the City. There are many mediums and materials used to create them, including oil paintings, mosaics, and metal and stone sculptures. To make way for street construction, four works were removed from Bedford Euless Parkway: Joe Barrington’s Armadillo, Jim LaPaso’s Passion Flower, and Buster Graybill’s Integrity. These and many other amazing works can be found in the NRH Art in Public Spaces Collection. Please refer to the map.
Visitors can also check out other attractions in North Richland Hills such as the NRH2O Family Water Park, NYTEX Sports Centre, and more.
