UTA PlanetariumUTA Planetarium 700 Planetarium Pl, Arlington, TX 76019, located on the University of Texas Arlington campus in Arlington, Texas is one of the three largest Texas planetariums. UTA Planetarium’s dome projection surface of 60 feet, digital projection system, and advanced software provide unparalleled views of the night sky and the solar system. It also offers spectacular views of distant galaxies and stars. Nearly 150 people can enjoy the theater’s comfortable, reclining seats. The theater is accessible for wheelchair users and can also provide headsets for the deaf. UTA Planetarium can be used to spark students’ interest in science, and technology, and to teach difficult concepts to students of all ages.

Our astronomers will give a night sky tour, show the solar system, and discuss current astronomy topics. Following the session, there will be Q&A as well as a pre-recorded program. Live presentations can be customized to suit the needs of K-12 teachers and are tailored to current curriculum standards and TEKS.

The title of each pre-recorded program is not listed in our public show schedule. Visitors should expect a live presentation, as explained above, and Q&A with every show. A planetarium show typically lasts 45 minutes for public shows and one hour for field trips for K-12 students.

Both the atrium and dome are available for you to use as unique venues for your private events. The dome can hold 150 people and is a great setting for ceremonies and presentations. We can help you choose the right show for your event by working with you.

The atrium can accommodate 50 people comfortably seated or up to 75 standing. It is ideal for receptions, dinners, or other informal events.

UTA Planetarium makes a wonderful way to celebrate your anniversary or to propose to your loved one. Enjoy a romantic evening out with your loved one by having a private dinner under the stars. Your private dinner includes a three-course meal, wine service, and a custom-made show. Two weeks before the event, photos and music must be submitted.

Visitors can also check out other attractions in Arlington such as the Arlington Music Hall, International Bowling Museum & Hall of Fame, Theatre Arlington, River Legacy Parks, UTA Planetarium, and many more. Be sure to visit each one and don’t forget to have fun!
